Addis Ababa – Sudanhorizon – Maryam Abshir
Several Sudanese diplomatic missions abroad have fully prepared for the Sudanese certificate examinations, set to begin today (Saturday) for students from Sudanese communities and refugees displaced by the war. These exams will be held in various countries, including neighbouring states such as Egypt and Ethiopia, as well as others like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Uganda, and Malaysia.
According to reports by Sudahorizon news, Ambassador Al-Zain Ibrahim Hussein, head of Sudan’s diplomatic mission in Addis Ababa and Sudan’s representative to the African Union, will oversee the opening of the examination centre for Sudanese community students in Addis Ababa, located within the diplomatic mission’s headquarters.
Ambassador Al-Zain confirmed in a statement to Sudanhorizon that all arrangements to provide a conducive environment for the students have been completed. He also noted that other students in the Benishangul-Gumuz region in western Ethiopia, bordering Sudan’s Blue Nile state, will sit for their exams in Damazin under the supervision of the Sudanese consulate in Asosa.
The ambassador emphasized that all examinations will be conducted under the supervision of the diplomatic mission and the Teachers’ Committee. He described holding the Sudanese certificate exams inside and outside Sudan during these exceptional circumstances as a strong testament to the national will as the country faces a decisive battle against its adversaries.
