Joint Forces Advance Guard Arrives in Damazin, Welcomed by Fourth Infantry Division Commander

The first contingent of the Joint Forces arrived in Damazin, the capital of Sudan’s Blue Nile Region, to participate in operations aimed at clearing the region of the rebel presence. The troops arrived with high morale and full readiness to carry out their assigned combat missions. They were received by the Commander of the Fourth Infantry Division, Major General Ismail Al-Tayeb.

The Fourth Infantry Division commander said the arrival of the forces represents additional support for troops deployed in the theater of operations. He praised the high fighting spirit and determination of the Joint Forces as they advance to participate in the campaign to clear the region and ensure the safety of its residents.

For their part, members of the Joint Forces affirmed their full readiness to fight in the “Battle of Dignity” alongside the Sudanese Armed Forces, other supporting forces, and mobilized volunteers operating on this front. They declared their readiness to carry out their duties in accordance with the operational plan and achieve the specified objectives, according to a post published Tuesday on the Facebook account of the Sudanese Armed Forces spokesperson’s office.

The Fourth Infantry Division commander further affirmed that the forces remain fully prepared to continue their operations, saying the rebels are receiving successive and painful blows across various fronts. He stressed that the end of the rebellion is now imminent and that the Sudanese Armed Forces and supporting forces will continue with determination and resolve until the entire region is cleared and secured, God willing.
