Port Sudan – Sudanhorizon – Talal Ismail
The Sudanese Army, supported by the Anti-Terrorism Forces of the General Intelligence Service and special support groups, has taken control of the city of Al-Kamlin in the northern part of Gezira State. This came after the army had established complete control over the city of Al-Hasaheisa.
According to field sources speaking to the Sudanhorizon news website, the forces continued their advance toward the main entry gate to Khartoum State on the western bank of the Blue Nile. This follows the Sudan Shield Forces’ control over the main entry gate to Khartoum State on the eastern bank of the Blue Nile.
The forces also managed to take control of all areas in eastern Gezira State before linking up with the army’s movements in the city of Al-Alifun in eastern Khartoum State.
Amid the collapse of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, the army continued its advance on the western bank of the river, securing control over the areas of Abu Usher, Al-Kamlin, Al-Tukaina, and Wad Al-Turabi, which are located 56 kilometres from the entrance to Khartoum State on the main road.
The sources indicated that the army was still advancing following the militia’s collapse.
In the White Nile State axis, the army forces advanced toward the city of Al-Qitaina and from there to the southern entrance of Khartoum State at the Jebel Awliya Bridge.
