Sudan’s Interior Minister in Beijing to Participate in the Global Forum on Public Security Cooperation

Sudan’s Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Babiker Samra Mustafa, arrived in Beijing, the capital of China, on Sunday, leading the Sudanese delegation participating in the Global Forum on Public Security Cooperation, scheduled to be held in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, from September 8 to 10.
The Interior Minister was given an official reception upon his arrival at Beijing Airport, with the participation of several officials from the Chinese Ministry of Public Security and representatives of the Beijing Municipal Government. Among those welcoming him were the Sudanese Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Omar Issa Ahmed, and members of the Sudanese diplomatic mission.
The Sudanese National Radio correspondent in Beijing, Osama Mukhtar, reported that the Interior Minister’s visit includes a full program of events and meetings, including participation in the Global Forum on Public Security Cooperation, as well as participation in and addressing the Third Ministerial Meeting on Security and the Rule of Law between China and East African countries, scheduled for September 10, with the participation of several ministers and security officials from African countries.
The Minister of Interior is accompanied on the visit by Police Lieutenant General Tariq Suraj, Head of the Administrative Affairs Authority at Police Headquarters, and a representative from the Ministry of Interior’s Protocol Department.
The Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with several senior officials from the Chinese Ministry of Public Security to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between Sudan and China in security matters, and to exchange relevant expertise and experiences.
The Minister is also expected to meet with a number of ministers and officials from the African delegations participating in the forum, which includes representatives from 14 African countries. These meetings will strengthen opportunities for consultation and coordination on security issues of mutual interest.
Sudan’s participation in these events reflects the commitment of both Sudan and China to developing cooperation in security fields and enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences, thereby contributing to efforts to achieve security and stability and to consolidate international cooperation in the field of public security.
