Preparing Al-Faw Hospital to Meet the Wave of Displacement from Al-Gezira State

The Federal Ministry of Health revealed the urgent increase in the bed capacity of Al-Faw Hospital to more than (80) beds and the completion of the medical equipment needed by the hospital, indicating the provision of urgent medical supplies and medicines to the hospital and the motivation of the medical staff present in the hospital.

The delegation of the Federal Ministry of Health, headed by the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, recorded a visit to Al-Faw Hospital and the shelter for the displaced from Al-Gezira State (Harira and Al-Bawadra).

The Federal Minister of Health, Haitham Ibrahim, said in press statements, on Sunday, “Al-Faw Hospital is the largest field hospital on the contact line and covers the city of Kosti, Sennar, and Khartoum, and treats large numbers of service seekers and includes specialists who perform surgeries as a field evacuation hospital for urgent intervention, and the urgent needs and how to intervene were assessed.”

Ibrahim described the violations of the Rapid Support Forces (Janjaweed) militias as a heinous crime of killing, displacement, and violation of sanctities. The Federal Minister of Health confirmed that the need is great, especially for medical services and shelter, reaching (20) thousand tents. The Minister called on organizations and United Nations agencies to provide their services to the displaced, thanking the Ministry of Energy and the Nile Petroleum Company for completing the blood bank.
