Sudan Ambassador to Turkey: RSF Militia Committed over 107 Massacres
Ankara – Sudanhorizon
As part of its efforts to clarify the real situation in Sudan for the Turkish and international public opinion, the Sudanese Embassy in Ankara held a press conference on Monday devoted to the developments in El Fasher.
Prior to the conference, the Sudanese Students Association in Ankara organized a solidarity rally at the embassy to condemn the crimes committed by the militia in El Fasher and the UAE’s support for the militia. Participants raised banners denouncing these actions and demanding that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) be designated a terrorist organization.
Addressing the rally, Sudan’s Ambassador to Turkey, Nader Youssef Al-Tayeb, affirmed that what is happening in El Fasher constitutes systematic genocide and crimes against humanity. He called for the RSF to be designated a terrorist organization and condemned the UAE’s support for the militia.
The solidarity rally received extensive coverage from Turkish media outlets, which documented it in its entirety before the press conference began. In his statement to the media at the press conference, the ambassador detailed the grave violations and war crimes committed by the militia in El Fasher, asserting that Sudan possesses irrefutable evidence of UAE support for the terrorist militia.
The ambassador also revealed that soime 200,000 civilians are completely besieged in El Fasher, and that the militia has perpetrated over 107 massacres in recent days, resulting in the deaths of over 2,000 people, including women, children, and the sick. He further highlighted the horrific massacre that occurred inside the Saudi Hospital in El Fasher, where more than 360 patients and healthcare workers were killed.
A short film in Turkish, titled “Fasher’de Gerçekler” (Facts from El Fasher), was screened, featuring poignant scenes documenting the crimes and violations suffered by civilians in El Fasher.
The conference also included a photo exhibition within the embassy premises, showcasing images, documents, and reports documenting the violations against civilians and the UAE’s involvement. Copies of the documents and photos were distributed to representatives of Turkish media outlets and newspapers. At the conclusion of the conference, a song in Turkish entitled “Sudan İçin” (For Sudan) was performed by a Turkish artistic group, whose lyrics expressed solidarity and prayers for peace in Sudan.
