Gen. Jaber Briefed on the Situation in Central Darfur State

Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, member of the Transitional Sovereign ouncil, was briefed on the security and humanitarian situation and the challenges facing the government of Central Darfur State.

This came during his meeting with a delegation from the state government, led by Governor Mustafa Tambour.

The meeting discussed education issues and the status of the previous Sudanese Certificate examinations, as well as the ongoing arrangements for the upcoming examinations.

Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber was also briefed on the results of the census of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Central Darfur State to Khartoum State and other safe states, in addition to the efforts being made to provide humanitarian aid in cooperation with the Humanitarian Aid Commission.

The meeting discussed the ongoing procedures to strengthen the role of the 21st Infantry Division in securing and protecting the nine localities of the state.

The meeting also addressed the state’s development plan in preparation for the post-war phase, the provision of basic services, and combating hate speech, in order to promote coexistence and social unity.
