Repatriation of Sudanese University Students and Professors from Egypt Continues

Dr. Asim Hassan Ahmed, Cultural Attaché at the Sudanese Embassy in Cairo, has stated that the repatriation of Sudanese university students and professors from Egypt is proceeding at an accelerated pace.

The Cultural Attaché explained that the operation aims to transport 20,000 students, professors, and their families, adding that more than half of the target number has already been transported, with approximately 9,000 remaining, according to the Sudan News Agency.

Dr. Asim was speaking on Monday from the repatriation site in the Abdeen district , Central Cairo, where he confirmed the continuation of the repatriation of university students and professors wishing to return from Egypt. He noted that 150 professors and 600 university students are able to travel today.

He emphasized the need to expedite the repatriation of university students and professors wishing to return from Egypt to begin the new academic year in Sudan.
