London – Sudanhorizon

A medical mission organized by the British Rahman Doctors Organization arrived in Sudan today, comprising 46 specialist doctors from the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, the United States, South Africa, India, and Pakistan.

The mission is accompanied by quantities of medicines, medical devices, and equipment donated to Sudan. Its members will be deployed across four cities, including the capital, Khartoum, to perform surgeries and provide free medical examinations and treatment to patients across various specialties.

The Sudanese Embassy in London oversaw all arrangements for the mission in coordination with the Federal Ministry of Health, the relevant state health ministries, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, under the patronage of the Sovereignty Council’s Advisory Office for Humanitarian Affairs and International Organizations.

The Embassy’s Minister Plenipotentiary, Hosni Mustafa, was present at Heathrow Airport in London to see off the mission.

The mission is the third organized by the group to Sudan since last year.

The organization has also donated substantial quantities of medicines, medical equipment, and supplies, which will be delivered by sea. In addition, it is working to arrange overseas training opportunities for a number of Sudanese doctors.
