The Sudanese Mobile Phone Company (Zain) has honored the brilliant student Rahaf Al-Amin Al-Tayeb Al-Bashir, who scored the highest marks in the 2024 Sudan School Certificate exam, marking a score of 97%, according to the Sudanese Ministry of Education’s press conference in Khartoum, Monday, October 20, 2025.
The event was organized during a visit by a Zain delegation to the student’s family in Aswan, Egypt, where they congratulated her on her exceptional achievement on behalf of Zain’s employees and valued subscribers.
The delegation presented her with an up to par laptop to help continue her journey of excellence, achieved despite the difficult circumstances imposed by the ongoing war in Sudan. The honoring confirms one of the objectives of the company which is to support excellence and creativity.
This honor marks the beginning of a program to honor outstanding students in the postponed Sudanese Certificate for the 2024 academic year and is an extension of Zain’s ongoing initiatives to foster brilliance and encourage academic excellence.
The company previously honored the top ten students in the postponed 2023 Certificate, in addition to a number of outstanding students in Tuti, Kassala, Al-Gezira, and Omdurman—including student with impaired vision—as part of the “Inspiring Success Stories” initiative, which highlights youth models who have overcome challenges and achieved excellence braving the harsh realities.

Zain affirms its continued commitment to supporting education and youth empowerment and called on the community to nominate more inspiring success stories that reflect the spirit of resilience, hope, and excellence, a trait of the sons and daughters of Sudan.
