Jaber: Our Economic Institutions Are the First Line of Defense Against Conspiracies
Port Sudan – Sudanhorizon
Member of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Major General Ibrahim Jaber, stated that the country’s enemies have turned the ongoing war into an economic battle, and that Sudan’s economic institutions have represented the first line of defense against this, thwarting all conspiracies and plots. As a result, the country’s exports have once again started to penetrate global markets.
While addressing the launch ceremony of the unified export window in Port Sudan on Monday, Jaber mentioned the ongoing media and propaganda war aimed at defamation and vilification. He praised the resilience, patience, and strong determination of the Sudanese people.
Jaber emphasized that Sudan no longer needs food imports, thanks to the abundant resources provided by nature, which Sudanese farmers have met with hard work and dedication. He pointed out that Sudan now produces enough to meet its needs and even has surplus to export, viewing this as a practical response to the humanitarian aid war and false claims of famine in the country.
He also highlighted that the opening of the unified export window would facilitate all procedures in line with the established policies for exporting gold, ensuring that proceeds from exports are received in advance. It will also streamline governmental procedures, reduce processing time, and bring the government closer to investors and stakeholders in the gold export sector.
Jaber assured the public that many positive developments are on the horizon for Sudan, in various areas, and firmly stated that victory will be Sudan’s. He called on all national institutions, both governmental and private, to increase cooperation and coordination in preparation for the post-war period.
