CAF Officially Announces Date for Preliminary Round Draws of Interclub Competitions

Confirming what Sudanhorizon reported last week, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially announced on Sunday that the preliminary round draws for the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup will take place on Thursday, August 6, at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

According to CAF’s announcement, the CAF Confederation Cup draw will be held first at 1:00 p.m. Sudan time, followed by the CAF Champions League draw at 2:00 p.m. Sudan time. Both draws will be broadcast live on CAF TV via YouTube.

Sudan will be represented in the CAF Champions League by Al Hilal SC and Al Merrikh SC, while Al Hilal Port Sudan and Al Ahli Wad Madani will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
