Sudanese Foreign Minister Participates in Arab League Ministerial Meeting

The Sudanese Foreign and International Cooperation Minister, Mohi El-Din Salem, leftfor Khartoum on Monday heading for Cairo, Egypt to participate in the 166th regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, held at the League’s headquarters,. The meetings kick off today, Monday.
A meeting of permanent representatives preceded the cabinet meeting last Saturday to prepare for the ministerial meeting.
The summit will discuss pressing issues, foremost among them the Palestinian issue, within the context of international efforts to confront Israeli actions in Jerusalem and Gaza.
Among the most prominent issues currently on the agenda are Palestine, Gaza, and regional developments, in addition to other Arab issues, including the situation in Sudan and the ongoing war of aggression against it, as well as the Libyan and Yemeni crises, all of which are on the agenda of the 166th session.
It is worth noting that the Secretary-General of the Arab League issued a statement welcoming the Sudanese dialogue initiative and the decisions of the Sudanese Sovereign Council related to it.
