Foreign Ministry Confirms Chad’s Involvement in Supporting the RSF Rebels

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs sharply criticized a statement the Chadian Foreign Ministry issued, describing it as “pathetic.”
In a press release issued on Saturday and accessed by “The Investigator” news website, the Sudanese Foreign Ministry stated that the Chadian regime is attempting to “deny a reality known to the entire international community, namely that Chad is the main gateway for weapons and mercenaries supplied to the Janjaweed terrorist militia for use in its dirty war against the Sudanese people, its state, and its national institutions.”
The statement added: “The continuous support from the Chadian regime to the terrorist militia needs no further explanation in light of the details and facts documented by satellite images, reports from UN experts, several international organizations, and investigative reports from international media, proving the Chadian regime’s involvement in aggression against Sudan. Instead of confronting these facts courageously and working to correct this disgraceful behaviour, which makes the Chadian regime a partner in crimes of aggression, genocide, and the rapes committed by Janjaweed gangs, the Chadian Foreign Ministry resorted to blatant lies and historical falsification, which hold no weight before regional and international justice and global public opinion.”
The statement continued: “The Foreign Ministry recognizes that the brotherly Chadian people bear no responsibility for the misdeeds of a regime that has sold its decision-making power and will to those who covet control over regional resources and strategic locations in pursuit of the illusion of regional dominance for which they lack the basic means.
