Criminal Network Trafficking Medical Drugs and Abortion Medications Dismantled in Khartoum

The Federal Operations Directorate in Khartoum State (Omdurman Division) has dismantled the activities of a criminal network specialized in the promotion and distribution of abortion injections and life-saving medications outside official channels.

The operation was carried out following precise intelligence that led to a well-planned ambush, resulting in the arrest of the first suspect in possession of 20 pills and 100 abortion injections.

During interrogation, the first suspect led authorities to a second suspect, who was arrested with 2,000 abortion injections in his possession. He, in turn, revealed the main financier of the network.

Under a search warrant issued by the prosecution, authorities raided the warehouse belonging to the third suspect, where large quantities of medicines and life-saving drugs were found, some of which were expired.

Police registered a case under number 121 in accordance with Article 38 of the Medicines and Poisons Act at Al-Awsat Police Station in Omdurman. Investigations and field operations are ongoing to identify the main source of funding for this criminal activity.
