Sudan Condemns Houthi Attacks against Saudi Arabia

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese government has strongly condemned the terrorist missile attacks launched by the Houthi militia against southern Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Sudan’s renewed solidarity with the Kingdom and its full support in confronting this unjustified aggression.
The statement asserted that the Houthi militia’s desperate attempts to undermine the security and sovereignty of Saudi Arabia which is cornerstone of regional stability and a symbol of the unity of the Islamic and Arab nations, reflect nothing more than a desire to spread chaos and instability in the region and export crises, that will have serious repercussions on the security of the Red Sea and the freedom of international trade.
The statement called on the international community to address these attacks with utmost seriousness and decisiveness.
In a separate statement, the Sudanese government reiterated its support for legitimacy in Yemen and its solidarity with the Yemeni people in face of the ongoing aggression and violations perpetrated by the Houthi militia and their external backers. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation condemned the operation of unauthorized direct flights from Tehran to Sana’a, considering it a violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and airspace, and a breach of international aviation laws.
It added, “These violations will impose a new operational reality and extend the confrontations in the Strait of Hormuz to the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, which will have the most serious repercussions on the freedom of international trade.”
