Finance Ministry: Border Crossings be Regulated in line with International Standards

Finance Minister Jibril Ibrahim has given directives to the relevant authorities to strengthen regulations governing border crossings to improve the working environment and enhance performance in line with international standards and specifications.
During an expanded meeting chaired by the Finance Minister and attended by the Ministers of Industry and Trade, Communications and Digital Transformation, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, the Director General of Border Crossings, and all relevant parties, held at the Ministry of Finance, on Sunday, emphasis was placed on strengthening full coordination among the technical bodies responsible for border crossing operations and integrating their roles according to their respective jurisdictions.
The Border Crossings Authority will continue to be responsible for regulating and organizing performance until a government decision is issued on the matter.
The meeting also stressed the importance of completing the network connection between operating government units to ensure the accuracy and transparency of transactions and enable decision-makers to access and monitor all procedures in real time.
