The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has received the report of the Auditor General of the Republic of Sudan for the fiscal year ending in December 2025.
This took place during a meeting at the Presidential Palace with the Auditor General of Sudan, Salah al-Din Muhammad Othman.
In a press statement, the Auditor General noted that he briefed the Chairman of the Sovereign Council on the progress made in generating financial revenue through the implementation of the “Isali” (My Receipt) system—a platform currently used across various government institutions and units—which has effectively contributed to reducing the misappropriation of public funds.
The Auditor General indicated that the discussion covered the financial entities included in the audit, totaling approximately 2,150 units, ranging from banks and states to various institutions and information systems. He added that Al-Burhan pledged to refer the report to the Council of Ministers to develop an executive matrix for its implementation.
Furthermore, the Auditor General explained that an increase in the number of auditors facilitated the achievement of the Bureau’s objectives and the completion of financial report audits in record time. He noted that the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council commended the significant efforts made by the staff of the National Audit Bureau.
