White Nile Receives Two Schools for Displaced Students with UNICEF Support

The Acting Minister of Education and Guidance in White Nile State, Ismail Ali Adam, today received two schools serving displaced students at the primary and intermediate levels in the Qoz Al-Salam area of Kosti locality. The schools were implemented by Green Dream Organization with funding from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
The handover ceremony was attended by Intermediate Education Director Abdul Majid Nourain, Primary Education Director Hanan Al-Hajj, Training Administration Director Dr. Siddiq Mohammed Adam, the ministry’s Organizations Sector official Hashim Mirghani, and representatives of UNICEF and Green Dream Organization.
According to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), the two schools include all essential facilities, including classrooms, offices, water networks, and fencing. The facilities are intended to provide a suitable learning environment for displaced students in the area and strengthen the state’s efforts to accommodate students affected by displacement.
The Acting Minister of Education and Guidance praised the efforts of organizations working in the education sector, particularly UNICEF, for its continued support for education in the state. He also commended Green Dream Organization for implementing proposed projects to support education and translating them into tangible projects on the ground.
He affirmed that such projects contribute to developing educational infrastructure, rehabilitating schools, and providing the educational supplies needed by schools across the state. He also stressed the importance of maintaining the partnership between the ministry and humanitarian organizations to support the educational process and improve the school environment.
