SAF Chief of Staff Receives Khartoum State Governor

The Chief of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Lieutenant General Mohamed Osman Al-Hussein, received in his office at the General Command Headquarters, in the presence of a number of representatives and members of the General Staff, the Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, accompanied by a number of officials in the state.

During the visit, the Chief of Staff briefed the visiting delegation on the progress of the armed forces on all fronts, stressing that they have the lead in the battle. He said the army remains the safety valve for the country, expressing the appreciation of the leadership of the armed forces and its members for the visit by the Governor of Khartoum and his delegation to the e General Command Headquarters, which represents a message of solidarity from all citizens of Khartoum State. Gen. Al Hussein stressed that SAF would continue providing services to citizens and supporting state government institutions so that citizens enjoy security and stability, a circular published by the office of the official spokesman for the armed forces said.

For his part, the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, has commended the steadfastness of the officers, non-commissioned officers and private of the armed forces who were present inside the General Command headquarters under the siege and continuous attacks by the rebel militia.

The governor pointed out that the armed forces will continue to enjoy the support of the Sudanese people until achieving full victory soon and flushing out the militia from all parts of Sudan. The governor conveyed to the Chief of Staff congratulations and blessings of all citizens of Khartoum State to the armed forces on the occasion of the victories that have been scored against the terrorist rebel militia of Al-Dagalo and those who support it at home and abroad.
