He added that in light of the circumstances that Sudan is going through, this coordination and rapprochement have not been interrupted, and development relations have continued by linking railways electrical connections, developing Wadi Halfa Port, and working to increase trade exchange, stressing Egypt’s continuation in its political, economic, and social support at all levels in Sudan at the current stage, and until it regains full security and stability.
He said that Egypt is the closest country to Sudan and that it has spared no effort in supporting Sudan, showing solidarity with it in these exceptional circumstances
Hossam Issa, the former Egyptian ambassador to Khartoum, stressed that the continuous exchange of visits by officials from the two countries and the convening of all joint committees between them come in response to any other international movements that may be hostile to Sudan.
He said that these movements affect Sudanese unity and sovereignty, so Egypt confirms its support and backing for Sudan and renews its firm position of standing with the Sudanese state and its institutions, headed by the Sudanese Armed Forces.
He said Egypt has maintained its firm positions towards Sudan and has rejected the duality that some want to impose on it, pointing out that Egypt has never recognized the rebel Rapid Support Militia.
