Dr. Abdelqader Salem to Egypt for Treatment

Omdurman – Al-Muhaqiq

After holding out in Omdurman for a year and a half, Dr. Abdelqader Salem, the artist and Chairman of the Council of Musical and Dramatic Professions, has left for the Egyptian capital, Cairo, for medical treatment.

Salem has been suffering from complications related to diabetes and was under medical care at Al-Naw Hospital in Omdurman for several days, drawing both official and public concern.

Dr. Salem and a group of artists led a widespread mobilisation campaign in Omdurman, consistently supporting the army and the popular resistance in the battle for dignity against the Rapid Support Forces militia.
