Port Sudan – Sudanhorizon – Talal Ismail
The Sudanese National Movement Forces Alliance announced that its leader, Tijani Sese, will return to the administrative capital, Port Sudan, in the coming days to resume consultations with political parties on the national project to resolve the country’s crisis.
In an interview with Sudanhorizon – to be published later – the head of the alliance’s supervisory committee, Bushara Juma, stated, “As part of our public work in the National Movement, we have an initiative and ideas. We are conducting meetings with components of the National Movement to study certain aspects we have identified as visions and concepts.”
He continued, “The National Movement has an initiative and written visions and solutions. We seek to make political adjustments according to the situation’s needs and the stage. All the views, ideas, intellectual references, and literature within the National Movement are not fixed but rather evolving.”
He pointed to the efforts of the National Movement’s High Committee, led by Tijani Sese, to resolve the Sudanese crisis, explaining, “We have been in intensive contact with the state leadership, as well as with the regional and international community. I expect the National Movement leader to return within a week to continue political consultations internally following his medical treatment.”
On December 28, 2021, Sudanese parties and community groups announced a new alliance named the “National Movement Forces,” with objectives including halting foreign interference and engaging in dialogue to achieve consensus.
It was agreed to “form an entity under the name of the National Movement Forces, led by Dr. Tijani Sese Mohamed Atem, along with the establishment of several specialized committees.”
