One Body Project: New Zealand’s Sudanese Stand in Solidarity with South Kordofan IDPs

Sudanhorizon – Follow-up
The Sudanese community in New Zealand has launched a humanitarian initiative under the slogan “One Body Project” to provide urgently needed assistance to displaced people (IDPs) in South Kordofan State who are affected by the violence perpetrated by the terrorist militia and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N).

The project, established through voluntary efforts by collecting donations from community members and sending them to the Al-Hidayah Charitable Organization, prepares and distributes food baskets to the most needy families in displacement areas in South Kordofan State. The baskets contain food items that cover a portion of the families’ needs.

The community’s executive office emphasized that the primary goal of the initiative is to translate feelings of solidarity into tangible action and provide a concrete contribution to alleviate the suffering of the displaced and affected people. It represents a message of love and loyalty from Sudanese residents in New Zealand towards their fellow Sudanese back in the Sudan.

The executive office also expressed its deep appreciation to the community members who promptly supported the initiative, affirming the continuation of humanitarian efforts in the coming period to support displaced people in Sudan.
