Cabinet Regulates State Employee Leave

Khartoum –Sudanhorizon

Sudanese Prime Minister Kamil Idris has directed that leave be granted to state employees in accordance with laws and regulations currently in application, following the earlier directive requiring all staff to return to their workplaces in the capital, Khartoum.
Under the Cabinet decision issued this Thursday, the Prime Minister instructed that employees should enjoy the right to annual leave, unpaid leave, or any other legally guaranteed leave.
The decision—signed by Ali Mohamed Ali, the Secretary-General of the Cabinet (currently acting as the Minister of Cabinet Affairs)—affirmed that there are no legal impediments to employees claiming and obtaining such leave in accordance with established regulations.
A circular issued to ministers and heads of government units and agencies called for the immediate implementation of this directive and requested a prompt report on the actions taken.
