Sudan Participates in the Transport and Industry Conference for Africa and the Middle East in Cairo

Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Saif Al-Nasr Al-Tijani Haroun, is participating in the Transport and Industry Conference and Exhibition for Africa and the Middle East (TRANSMEA2025), which begins today, Sunday, in Cairo, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with high-level regional and international participation.
The conference will discuss key transportation issues, most notably the global trend towards smart transportation and enhancing the use of modern applications in the transportation sector, in addition to exchanging best practices, processes, and successful experiences.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport will also lead the Sudanese delegation, in the 38th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Transport and the 30th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport at the ministerial level.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport affirmed Sudan’s appreciation for Egypt’s distinguished experience across all transport sectors, praising the deep-rooted and enduring relations between Sudan and Egypt.
In a press statement, the Minister said that the partnership between the two countries in the transport sector is firmly established and continuously developing, possessing all the necessary elements to become a model of regional cooperation.
He reiterated Sudan’s openness to cooperation with its Arab sister countries in a way that supports national efforts to expedite the recovery of the transport sector, ensure its stability, and contribute to the reconstruction process.
He added that he would ensure that the Arab Ministers of Transport Council are well debriefed on the priorities and efforts of the transitional government related to the transport sector, as well as the proposed areas of cooperation.
He commended the Arab positions supporting Sudan, as expressed in the resolutions of the 37th session of the Arab Ministers of Transport Council in November of last year.
