Burhan Tours Areas in Ad-Dabba Locality Hosting IDPS From El Fasher

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council, lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, on Saturday toured areas in Ad-Dabba locality hosting internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have just moved in from El Fasher which they fled to escape the brutality of the Rapid Support Forces militia, after it seized the capital of North Darfur State on October 26th.

Burhan was debriefed by the Crisis and Emergency Committee on the situation inside the displaced persons camp in the Al-Afad area and the efforts being exerted to provide basic services and humanitarian aid to those families.

The Minister of Social Development, Mutasim Ahmed Saleh, stated in remarks published on Saturday that the Northern State has received approximately 50,000 displaced people from El Fasher.

According to Ad-Dabba locality media, the Chairman of the Sovereign Council commended the people in Ad-Dabba for their commendable stance by welcoming the displaced brothers from El Fasher, emphasizing that their actions embody the authentic Sudanese values of cooperation and solidarity in times of hardship.

General Burhan praised the efforts of the local Crisis and Emergency Committee and all supporting parties, calling for continued teamwork to overcome this difficult stage, stressing that victory, is not far and that Sudan will remain united represented by its people and armed forces.
