Sudan Denounces US Accusations, Says Administration Falsifies Facts

Sudan’s Minister for Culture and Information, Khalid Al-Aiser, has stressed that his government has been “following with strong condemnation the US administration’s accusations and decisions, which are characterized by political blackmailing and falsification of facts regarding the situation in Sudan.”
In a statement published by the Sudan News Agency, Al-Aiser, the official spokesman for the Sudanese government, has underlined that “for many years, the United States of America has pursued policies that obstruct the Sudanese people’s progress toward stability, peace, and prosperity. It is not surprising that these policies are resumed whenever the country makes tangible progress on the ground.”
The Spokesperson has indicated that “ fabrication of accusations and promotion of lies, including the recent baseless allegations, are part of an old approach based on the roadmap drawn up by the previous US administration in 2005, which is modified gradually to serve US agendas, based on allegations that have no connection to reality.”
The Minister affirmed that “these false allegations have once again targeted the Sudanese Armed Forces, especially after they scored success on the ground, changing the reality of the battle, and following the appointment of a Prime Minister, which constituted an important development in the process of rebuilding state institutions.”
He added that this action was not the first attempt as the United States has used similar means in the past without achieving its goals.
The Minister of Culture and Information, the official government spokesperson, indicated that the world has followed the clear statements made by US Senator Sarah Jacob, in which she criticized her country’s administration’s complicity in the crimes committed by the Rapid Support Forces militia in Sudan, with the support of the United Arab Emirates, and called for an arms embargo.
He explained that this position shows the existence of American voices that understand the reality of the crisis and the extent of the injustices sustained by the Sudanese people.
He added, “We recall that the United States had previously bombed the Al-Shifa pharmaceutical plant in Sudan, August 1998, based on allegations that were later proven false, as it turned out that the factory was producing medicines. Today, the same allegations are returning with baseless accusations of the use of chemical weapons.”
The minister pinpointed that “Washington has remained mum regarding the documented crimes against civilians in Darfur and other regions, which the United Arab Emirates stands behind through its unlimited support for the militias, and by supplying them with strategic drones, modern American weapons, and full financial funding, as acknowledged by the UN Panel of Experts.”

Al-Aiser said that this false narrative, which the US administration seeks to promote internationally, is nothing but a new attempt to mislead public opinion and provide political cover for parties that have lost their legitimacy and are involved in committing crimes against the Sudanese people.
He added that the outgoing US administration had previously sought to impose the framework agreement on the Sudanese people in a way that ensured the continued presence of militias within an artificial transitional landscape, ignoring the people’s aspirations to build a just civil state based on law, freedom, and national sovereignty through free and transparent elections.
The Minister pointed out that the Sudanese people and their government, while realizing the dimensions of this political blackmail, affirm that what is currently taking place is merely a repetition of previous mistakes in the US administration’s handling of Sudan’s affairs. However, the difference today is that these interventions, which lack both moral and legal basis, are stripping Washington of what remains of its credibility and closing its doors to influence in Sudan through its unilateral and unjust decisions.
The minister emphasized that the US Administration should realize that the Sudanese government, backed by the will of its people, is on its way to achieving complete victory in the battlefield and that it would disregard any attempts seeking to frustrate the Sudanese people’s aspirations for a dignified life and liberating their country from militias and the intervention of aggressor states.
