CECAFA for Juniors: Sudan Somalia, South Sudan Group

The draw conducted by the Competitions Organizing Committee of the East and Central African Federation (CECAFA) for the Under-17 Zone Championship, that qualifies for the finals of the African Junior Cup of Nations, Thursday, in the conference Hall at St. Myers Stadium, Kampala, has pĺaced Sudan in the second group alongside South Sudan and Somalia.
The first group included Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, the host country of the tournament.

The organizing committee had amended the list of the two groups after the disqualification of the Ethiopian and Burundi teams, which failed to pass the age tests that took place in Kampala.

According to the regulations of African competitions, two teams qualify for the quarter-finals from each group.
