PM Approves 2026 Sudanese Secondary School Certificate Examination Results Ahead of Announcement

Prime Minister Kamil Idris has approved the results of the 2026 Sudanese Secondary School Certificate examinations, paving the way for their official announcement.
The approval came during his meeting today in Khartoum with Minister of Education and National Guidance Dr. Al-Tihami Al-Zein Hajar.
In a press statement, the minister said that 559,000 students sat for the examinations, describing the results as excellent compared with last year and the years preceding the war, when approximately 510,000 students took the exams. He noted that the increase in the number of candidates is a positive indicator of stability in the education process and the sector’s recovery.
The Minister of Education and National Guidance said the number of examination centers for the Sudanese Secondary School Certificate reached 3,333 centers inside and outside Sudan.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and Prime Minister Kamil Idris for their support and patronage of education. He also thanked the country’s teachers who took part in what he described as an educational battle, from classroom teaching through to participation in all stages of the examinations.
The minister further expressed his appreciation to the General Administration for Measurement, Evaluation and Examinations for its significant efforts, which contributed to the successful administration of the exams.
He also thanked the security agencies in all their formations—including the Armed Forces, the General Intelligence Service, and the Police—for their efforts to secure the examinations, as well as all government ministries and institutions that supported the Ministry of Education and National Guidance.
He concluded by wishing the students success and good fortune.
