Darfur Information Minister: SAF and Joint Forces Victories Disrupt Militia Calculations

The Information Minister of the Darfur Regional Government has stated that the successes and victories scored by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Joint Forces stand out as a significant step forward for the Sudanese people.

In an exclusive statement to Sudanhorizon news website on Wednesday, the Minister of Information for the region, Ahmed Abu Shanab, said he considered the victories achieved by the Armed Forces and the Joint Forces, including the liberation of the city of Kulbus and some surrounding areas in West Darfur State, a great achievement that has disrupted the militia’s calculations, causing them to lose their composure and seek revenge through drone attacks, which the forces are ready to counter. He added that this also represents a glimmer of hope for the Sudanese people living in enemy-held areas.

He further stated, “So that they don’t think that the Armed Forces and the Joint Forces will abandon them after liberating Khartoum,” emphasizing that the advance to cleanse the country will continue until the borders of Umm Dafuq and the liberation of every inch of the homeland.

Abu Shanab stated that these victories, which will continue, require a strong morale boost from the Sudanese people and efforts to restore confidence in the forces stationed in the operational areas.

The Minister of Information reassured the people of Darfur that victory is coming, and that the liberation of Darfur and the return of its citizens to their homes is the ultimate goal. He affirmed that the Armed Forces and the Joint Forces will not let them down.

Regarding the allegations of some transgressions committed by individuals affiliated with the Joint Forces, the Minister of Information emphasized that any such transgressions are isolated incidents. He stressed that the primary and paramount objective of the forces is to expel the militias from every inch of the homeland they have defiled. He pointed out that the real violations were perpetrated collectively by the Rapid Support Forces militia in every area they entered, and he called upon the people to rally around their forces until complete victory is achieved.
