Khartoum – Sudanhorizon

Finance Minister Dr. Jibril Ibrahim has emphasized the scientific and social importance of the International University of Africa to the countries of the region. He described the university as a promising scientific project at the regional and global levels, contributing to the graduation of leaders and qualified individuals who represent gains for the university and for Sudan, its host country.

During his meeting on Thursday at his office in Khartoum with the university’s Chancellor, Professor Hatem Osman, and the president of the Sudanese Universities Union, Professor Al-Hadi Adam, the minister pledged to support the university and contribute to its development so that it can fulfill its distinguished scientific role.

For his part, the university Chancellor praised the support of the Sudanese government, represented by the Ministry of Finance, and its commitment to paying university salaries in full throughout the war period from 2023 until now. This has contributed to fulfilling the professors’ rights in full according to the new salary structure for 2026.
He noted that the university has completed the graduation of two batches during the war, while arrangements for the graduation of the third were finalized this April, with student registration for the new academic year set to begin next September.
