Al-Qadarif – Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese General Authority for Geological Research in Al-Qadarif State has announced a package of projects, most notably the publication of comprehensive geological, mineral, and investment maps for the state.
This came during an expanded meeting between a federal delegation from the General Authority for Geological Research and the Authority’s office in Al-Qadarif State on Tuesday, as part of an ongoing administrative mission to review performance and prioritize the next phase. The Authority considered this step crucial for redefining the map of mining opportunities in eastern Sudan.
The Director of the General Administration for Financial and Human Resources at the Authority, Issam El-Din Babiker, who chaired the meeting, affirmed that “the actual launch of geological work will begin in the states,” revealing a comprehensive training plan – both technical and administrative – aimed at raising efficiency and building specialized capacities to meet the demands of modern investment in the mining sector.
He pointed to significant progress in job stability and improving the work environment, in line with the Director General’s directives to create a conducive work environment and support state offices in mapping their areas and promoting them in a scientifically sound manner to attract investments.
