1,650 Tons of Humanitarian Aid from Türkiye and Qatar for IDP’s and Returnees Across Various States

The Humanitarian Aid Commission today launched 1,650 tons of food supplies as part of a humanitarian aid convoy provided as a grant from the governments and peoples of Qatar and Türkiye to Sudanese displaced persons and returnees across various states.
The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Professor Salwa Adam Beniya, said in press statements during the launch event in Port Sudan on Saturday that the convoy consists of 33 trucks, each carrying 50 tons of food supplies destined for different states.
Beniya expressed the government’s appreciation for the efforts of Türkiye and Qatar and their honorable stance toward the country, noting that both nations have maintained continuous contributions in support of Sudan from before the war up to the present.
She further affirmed the Commission’s commitment to completing all necessary procedures and facilitating the smooth flow and delivery of humanitarian assistance to citizens in need across all parts of the country.
