SSMO Achieves a New Victory for Sudan

A member of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) won first place for the best project within the activities of the China-Africa Cooperation Conference to Support Innovation and Development.

One of the organization’s members, Engineer Yahya Al-Amin from the Northern State branch, won the Best Project Award for his project. It is a device that converts salty seawater or any source of spoiled water into pure drinking water with international specifications. The device operates on solar energy.

A press release issued by the organization on Monday quoted Engineer Yahya as confirming that the project will be supported to contribute to solving drinking water problems in Sudan.

The Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, Rahba Saeed Abdullah, expressed her appreciation for the technical competencies of the professionals who exert effort and knowledge to improve the quality of life in the country.
