Sudanese Football Association Amends its Statute in Implementation of the (FIFA) Decisio
The Sudanese Football Association, through the Legal and Member Affairs Committee, addressed its components, including local federations, Premier League clubs, judicial committees, and those interested in sports regulations and systems, regarding amendments to its statute per the directives of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to the law of the Sudanese Football Association for the year 2017, on the Necessity of including the dispute resolution chamber, its powers, and its working mechanism within two weeks from its date.
The Federation explained that, based on the committee formed by the Board of Directors in a previous period to amend the Federation’s statute before FIFA’s recent directives, which began its work and held a number of meetings and received some proposals to amend the law, the Legal Committee took this opportunity to call on all stakeholders to include any amendments and proposals to the statute. The basic system was issued within a period not exceeding two weeks from its date. It also invited all athletes interested in sports regulations and laws to provide the committee with proposals for amendments to reach a flawless basic system that keeps pace with international legislation and systems.
The Vice President of the Federation and Chairman of the Committee, Moataz Muhammad Latif Al-Shaer, said that amending the statute is one of the major projects that the Board of Directors intends to implement to achieve an ideal statute that avoids ambiguity and negatives and clarifies everything related to legislation and football management, the separation of powers, and the definition of powers after it has been proven.
Experience and practice indicate that it is necessary to amend the statute, and after the federation received inquiries from some parties, most notably the judicial committees, regarding many issues in which the statute of the Sudanese Federation did not detail and clarify some matters that require amendments to it so that these committees can perform their work properly. In addition to the fact that many missing and ambiguous details need to be completed, clarified and explained about the powers of the legislative and executive authorities, indicating that the Sudanese Federation preceded FIFA’s directives and began to make amendments to its statute by forming a special committee for this purpose and began its work. Still, it stopped due to… the war.
Al-Shaer called on the components of the union and those interested in the regulations and laws to submit their proposals for amendments to the statute to be presented to the General Assembly for consideration, stressing the importance of making these amendments to achieve the desired goals.
