IGAD Secretary Inspects Refugee Projects in Djibouti

The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Workneh Gebeyehu, inspected projects implemented by the Authority in partnership with the Government of Djibouti and the Regional Migration Fund (funded by Germany through the German Development Bank), for the benefit of more than 33,000 refugees and members of the host community in the Ali Sabieh and Ali Addi regions of the Republic of Djibouti.
These projects include rehabilitating lycee technology and building a community development center to improve access to services, create job opportunities, and enhance social cohesion.
Workneh said, in a tweet on his account on the X platform, that he led the IGAD delegation and representatives of the Government of Djibouti on a tour of these projects (Monday), stressing the importance of completing them to enhance the livelihoods of vulnerable communities affected by migration.
