CECAFA Honors Sudanese Referees with Gold Medals

The organizing committee of the CECAFA Under-17 Championship honoured Sudanese international referee Abdelaziz Jaafar and his assistants by awarding them gold medals amidst a wave of applause and praise for their outstanding officiating performance in the final match.

The final in Kampala saw Uganda claim the championship title by defeating Tanzania 2–1. Somalia secured third place after overcoming South Sudan in a penalty shootout (4–2) following a 2–2 draw in regular time.

Sudanese referees Abdelaziz Jaafar and Haitham Al-Noor received widespread recognition throughout the tournament for their excellent performance and management of multiple matches.
