Ibrahim Ghandour to “Sudanhorizon”: The NCP has not disappeared to reappear; it is present among its supporters and within its homeland

Cairo – Sudanhorizon – Sabah Musa
Professor Ibrahim Ghandour, a prominent leader of the National Congress Party (NCP), confirmed that his party has not disappeared to make a return and has remained present among its supporters and within its homeland.
In an exclusive statement to the “Sudanhorizon” news website, Ghandour stated that the NCP stands alongside those who stood with the armed forces and participated with those who are involved in protecting Sudan, its land, and its people. He emphasized that the NCP does not vanish in the absence of its leaders, nor does it reappear with their presence. He further stated that the party is deeply rooted and always present. Ghandour added that as Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud did, anyone who wishes to return to their homeland should do so, noting that this is a natural matter. He pointed out that all Sudanese people have started returning to their homes and country and concluded by saying, “We will soon live to see the day when everyone returns to a secure, peaceful, and reassuring Sudan.”
In response to comments circulating that NCP leaders are reappearing these days to reap the fruits of the war and make a comeback, Ghandour remarked that those who make such claims know nothing. He asked, “Is someone who returns to their homeland coming to rule or to be among their people, family, and leadership?” He added, “We also ask when those who question the return of the NCP will return?” He expressed his hope that the day will come when all the people of Sudan return and unite under a common word.
Ghandour also commented on the appearance of former Sennar governor Ahmed Abbas alongside General Shams al-Din Kabashi in “Jabal Moya” with the forces heading towards Sennar and the White Nile. He said that Abbas’s presence at his age is an honour that any politician should be proud of. He hoped to see all party leaders united in protecting Sudan and its people.
