Foreign Ministry Commends the Countries Rejecting Threats to Sudan’s Sovereignty

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has praised the Arab, Gulf, and international stances rejecting threats to Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, accessed by the news website “Sudanhorizon” the Ministry stated: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following with appreciation and concern the successive international positions rejecting threats to Sudan’s sovereignty and unity, as well as its established national legitimacy, through attempts to establish an authority in the name of the Janjaweed militia and its affiliates, launched from Kenya under the supervision of the militia’s regional sponsor.”
The Ministry added: “In this regard, the Ministry commends the strong principled positions expressed by the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, and the African members of the United Nations Security Council: Algeria, Somalia, and Sierra Leone, as well as the positions of other Security Council members, including Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Guyana, along with the statement issued by Turkey.”
The Foreign Ministry pointed out that these clear positions confirm that the irresponsible conduct of the Kenyan presidency, having embraced the genocidal militia and seeking to legitimise its unprecedented crimes, is isolated both externally and internally. Kenya has thereby placed itself in the position of a rogue state that defies international norms.
The Sudanese Foreign Ministry renewed its call to all members of the international community and regional and international organisations, especially the African Union, to condemn this serious threat to regional peace and security and the undermining of established international and regional order.
