Foreign Minister Congratulated by His Chinese Counterpart

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, congratulated Sudanese Foreign Minister Dr. Ali Youssef on his recent appointment.
In his message, the senior Chinese official expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes, noting the deep historical friendship between the two countries and the positive development of their relations over the past 65 years.
Wang Yi referred to the recent meeting between Sudan’s Sovereign Council leader, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum summit in Beijing last September. This meeting set strategic directions for advancing relations between the two friendly nations. Wang Yi affirmed his readiness to work with Dr Youssef to implement these essential agreements, enhance communication and coordination between the two foreign ministries, and strengthen their strategic partnership in a stable and sustainable manner.
