Al-Menfi Affirms Libya’s Commitment to Sudan’s Unity

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, discussed with the Chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Menfi, on Friday, during their participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and develop them, as well as exchanging views on several issues of mutual interest.

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council expressed Sudan’s aspiration to boost and strengthen the distinguished cooperative relations between the two countries in all fields to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

For his part, Al-Menfi expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council for Sudan’s continuous and ongoing support to the state of Libya and its people, reaffirming his country’s “steadfast position in supporting Sudan’s unity, stability, and the realisation of its people’s aspirations for stability, peace, security, and development.
