21 Returnee Convoys Depart Today from Several Egyptian Governorates to Sudan

The “Hope Committee for Voluntary Return” of Sudanese refugees from Egypt announced that it will operate 21 trips today (Tuesday) as part of the voluntary return program to Sudan. Ten of these trips will depart from downtown Cairo at Al-Aziziyah Square, five from Al-Aziziyah Square in Faisal (Al-Matba’a area), three from Aswan Governorate, two from Al-Ajami, and one from Alexandria—bringing the total number of returnees to 1,029.

Press sources reported that the operations rooms of the Hope Committee and volunteers in Cairo, Aswan, Alexandria, and the Al-Ajami area have completed their preparations for the large-scale return convoys. The process is being overseen by the committee’s chairman, Engineer Mohammed Wada’a, Executive Secretary Montaser Othman Omar, and Rapporteur Hassan Khalid.
