Sudanese RAC: Call for Berlin Conference Spurred by Parties Supporting RSF
Khartoum – -Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese Revolutionary Awakening Council (RAC) stated that the invitations to the Berlin conference were issued in a selective and provocative manner, at the behest of parties supporting the Rapid Support Forces militia, while excluding official bodies representing Sudan and its people. The Council described this as completely unacceptable.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the Council announced its categorical rejection and strong condemnation of the conference scheduled to be held in Berlin tomorrow to discuss Sudanese affairs without the participation of the Sudanese government.
The statement, issued by the Council’s official spokesperson, Professor Ahmed Mohamed Abkar, emphasized that any genuine political process must originate from within Sudan, with the participation of all national forces without exclusion, and free from external pressures or international interference.
The Awakening Council, headed by Sheikh Musa Hilal, leader of the Mahamid tribe, reiterated its commitment to the Sudanese government’s vision for resolving the crisis. This vision was presented by the Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, before the United Nations General Assembly, and by Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris before the UN Security Council. The Council considers these visions a national framework that reflects the state’s priorities and preserves its sovereignty.
The Council called on the international community to respect Sudan’s sovereignty and to cease supporting any parallel tracks that weaken the internal front and prolong the war. It affirmed its commitment to working with all national parties to achieve peace, stability, and democratic transition through Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue.
