Khartoum – Al-Muhaqqiq
Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris met on Thursday in Khartoum with a delegation representing joint Arab organizations, led by Dr. Nasser Al-Hatlan, Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO). The meeting took place on the sidelines of the First Arab Forum for Human Resource Capacity Building and Social Welfare, currently being hosted in Khartoum. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohieddin Salem; the Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Motasim Ahmed Saleh; and the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Ali Mohammed Ali.
In a press statement, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare explained that the discussion covered the progress of the First Arab Forum for Human Resource Capacity Building and Social Welfare. He noted that the forum has already yielded significant benefits for the country, including the training of over 500 personnel and the convening of nine specialized workshops. These workshops involved various ministries—such as Health; Infrastructure and Transport; Industry and Trade; Education and National Instruction; and Minerals and Petroleum—all of which were relevant to the training content provided.
The Minister further indicated that two additional workshops, tailored for the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries, are set to begin within the next two days. He emphasized that these workshops and activities are aimed at enhancing the country’s human capital, enabling them to contribute effectively to the implementation of the five-year strategic plan (2027–2031). The Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Arab joint-action organizations for their visit to Sudan. He noted that this visit is not merely focused on human development, but also serves as a gesture of solidarity with the Sudanese people, signaling Sudan’s return to its Arab and regional fold, as well as the resumption of Arab, African, and international conferences, workshops, and events in Khartoum.
