With the rest of my people?
Singing to a different audience
An alien tune

What ails your heart, my friend?
What pains your soul
I saw this pain
Even before our loss
How can you endure more?

You sing like an injured angel
You smile
Like a sufi
Delving into a world unknown
Where awe and love
Are whirling
From dusk till dawn
