CAF Approves Sudanese Quartet to Participate in African Championships

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially approved Sudanese clubs participating in African championships on Thursday. Al-Hilal and Al-Merreikh were approved to represent Sudan in the Champions League, while Al-Ahly, Damdani, and Al-Zamalah Um Rawaba will represent Sudan in the Confederation Cup.
The management of Al-Zamalah Um Rawaba recently succeeded in completing the requirements of the CAF Club Licensing Committee, by FIFA standards.
The Sudanese Football Association’s Appeals Committee rejected a request by Al-Ahly Madani to rearrange the clubs in the Premier League. Al-Hilal was approved as the top team, Al-Merreikh as the runner-up, Al-Ahly Madani as the third team, and Al-Zamalah Um Rawaba as the fourth team.
