Northern State Authorities Contain Local Dispute in Al-Dabba

The competent authorities in Northern State announced that they had contained an armed conflict between some local groups yesterday, on Thursday. They added that they are monitoring developments on the ground and have taken the necessary measures to prevent a recurrence of violence and ensure stability.

The authorities confirmed that the situation has stabilized following the intervention of prominent community leaders who, alongside the relevant authorities, contributed to calming the situation and reassuring citizens that the problem is under control.

The local authorities denied any connection between the conflict and the war raging in other areas of Sudan, stressing that the state is safe and stable.

On Thursday, Al-Dabba witnessed an armed conflict between tribal groups. The conflict erupted near the city hospital due to tribal disputes, causing tension and panic among the residents. The armed forces immediately intervened and contained the conflict.
