Northern State Govt Spokesperson: We are Prepared for all Eventualities, and we Call on Citizens not to Respond to RSF Propaganda

Dongola – Sudanhorizon – Mariam Absher
The Northern State government confirmed that the situation in the state is under complete control, and that the armed forces, the joint forces, and other supporting forces, including the popular resistance, are ready to confront any potential aggression by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia.
The state government’s official spokesman, Minister of Culture and Information, Al-Baqir Okasha, said in a statement to the Sudanhorizon news website that the militia, through its media outlets, has intensified its false and misleading campaigns over the past few days and sought to spread a rhetoric of intimidation after entering the Triangle area. This is aimed at destabilizing the state and frightening citizens, claiming that it is approaching the state capitals.
Al-Baqir noted that the militia was in positions much closer than it claimed, in Merowe and elsewhere, but was defeated and was unable to do anything. The state government spokesman indicated that forces in some forward positions have repositioned themselves in anticipation of all scenarios, and that the Sudanese Air Force is pursuing militia remnants in their distant encampments.
Al-Baqir called on the state’s citizens not to respond to the black propaganda of the Rapid Support Forces, which aims to instill fear among the population and force them to halt their normal activities or leave their places of residence.
