Foreign Minister Addresses Emergency Meeting of OIC Foreign Ministers in Jeddah

Foreign Minister Dr. Ali Youssef headed the Sudanese delegation participating in the extraordinary meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which was held on Friday in Jeddah at the invitation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Palestine, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to discuss the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people and calls for their displacement from their land.
In his speech before the session, the Foreign Minister praised the strong positions expressed by the international community and friendly and sisterly countries, the latest of which was the statement issued by the Security Council on March 5, rejecting and threatening the unity of Sudan and the existing legitimacy in it through the formation of a parallel authority from the terrorist Rapid Support Militia and its allies, under the supervision of the regional sponsor of the militia.
The Foreign Minister provided an update to the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the latest developments in the situation in Sudan and the victories achieved by the Sudanese Armed Forces supported by the Sudanese people as the good news of the great victory approaches.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Sudan’s support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. In his speech before the meeting, he explained that Sudan is following the latest developments in the situation in occupied Palestine, noting the centrality of the Palestinian issue.
The Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs called on the member states and the General Secretariat of the Organization to continue to confront these serious attacks on the Palestinian people and the call for their displacement from their land, and to activate the mechanisms stipulated in the relevant resolutions of the Organization to move at all levels to reflect the positions of the Organization in this regard.
It is noteworthy that the participating Sudanese delegation included Ambassador Dafallah Al-Hajj Ali, Ambassador of Sudan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Sudan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Ambassador Anas Al-Tayeb Al-Jilani, Director General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. First Secretary Youssef Siddiq Abu Aqla, the Organization’s file officer at the Consulate General.
